This Liability Waiver applies to all makeup services provided by Refined by Kelsey.


By booking or receiving a makeup treatment, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Client Health & Disclosure

To ensure your safety and the success of your makeup application, you confirm that:

  • You have disclosed all allergies, sensitivities, medical conditions, skin concerns, and past reactions relevant to cosmetic products.

  • You understand that failure to disclose such information may increase the risk of an adverse reaction.

  • You agree to notify your artist immediately if you experience discomfort during your appointment.

2. Product Sensitivities & Reactions

  • Makeup products, even high-quality and hypoallergenic formulas, can cause reactions on certain skin types.

  • You acknowledge that reactions may include redness, irritation, swelling, breakouts, or other sensitivities.

  • Refined by Kelsey cannot be held responsible for reactions that occur due to:

    • unknown or undisclosed allergies

    • sensitivities to cosmetic ingredients

    • individual skin type or hormonal changes

    • interaction with products you have used before or after your appointment

3. Hygiene & Safety Practices

Refined by Kelsey adheres to luxury-standard hygiene protocols, including:

  • sanitised brushes

  • disposable tools where appropriate

  • strict cleanliness of all surfaces and products

Despite every measure being taken, you acknowledge that no treatment is entirely risk-free.

4. Results & Expectations

  • Makeup results vary by skin type, texture, environmental conditions and aftercare.

  • You understand that longevity depends on factors such as weather, oil production, skincare products, and adherence to advice provided.

  • You accept that makeup longevity cannot be guaranteed once you leave the salon.

5. Aftercare Responsibilities

You agree to follow all aftercare and product-use recommendations provided.
Refined by Kelsey is not liable for issues arising from improper aftercare, including:

  • touching or rubbing the face

  • using conflicting skincare or cosmetic products

  • exposure to heat, humidity or moisture

6. Photography & Consent

If you consent, photographs may be taken before and/or after your treatment.
These images may be used for portfolio, marketing or social media purposes.
You may withdraw consent at any time.

7. Liability Release

By booking or receiving a makeup service, you release Refined by Kelsey, its representatives and affiliates from liability for:

  • allergic reactions

  • skin irritation

  • adverse effects due to undisclosed information

  • dissatisfaction arising from external factors or personal preferences

  • any consequences resulting from failure to follow pre-appointment or aftercare advice

You accept full responsibility for any reaction that occurs, unless caused by negligence.

8. Agreement

By proceeding with your makeup service:

  • You confirm you have read and understood this waiver.

  • You voluntarily agree to its terms.

  • You give consent for your treatment to be carried out by Refined by Kelsey.

If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to your artist before your appointment begins.
